Well this is my vacation during my final year in the college in 1997. Along with my college friends I
went to Kerala .."god's own country". We went to the magnificent wooden palace of the 16th century, Padmanabhapuram Palace.
An enticing piece to any lover of art and architecture this old palace of the Rajas of the erstwhile Travancore (1550 to 1750
AD) is a fine specimen of Kerala's indigenous style of architecture. The antique interiors are replete with intricate rosewood
carvings and sculptured decor. The palace also contains 17th and 18th century murals.

Kovalam is an internationally renowned beach with three adjacent crescent beaches. It has been a favourite
haunt of tourists, especially Europeans, since the 1930s. We enjoyed a good evening playing and bathing in the sea....

The next day morning we were in Ernakulam ie cochin. We took a boat cruise in the cochin harbour and the
whole of the inland water body. You see myself with my friends Vikram and Arockiam in the boat.

Here we are in the Jew Town in Cochin. We are in the Jews' Temple - a fine architectural mural..the chineese hand painted
floor tiles and the glassware are really worth seeing.

Then we are in the Vascodagama church..the oldest church in India. This is the place where the soul of Vascodagama is
resting in peace. This was our last destination in cochin.

What a splended view is'nt it..yes this is Athirampalli Falls in Kerala. We spent a whole half day taking bath in the falls
and enjoing the adventure offered by the mother nature. This was our last spot in Kerala and we returned home with lots of
fun packed memories.
